Legoland Extras

So, the following day we packed up and headed back. Just west of Las Vegas Kaden needed to go to the bathroom. There is nothing out there. I mean nothing. At all. I took the first exit we came to thinking we’d get off before Vegas and avoid getting lost. It makes me nervous to drive in big cities where I have no familiarity. I took the exit and lo and behold it’s the start of the strip. I took a different road and that little detour took us through Henderson. No gas stations anywhere. We drove for a good 10 minutes before we finally found a gas station. I pulled in, turned around and Kaden was asleep. Go figure. We decided to just find the nearest hotel to stay in. That way we’d still have time to go swimming. Our original plan was to stay in St. George, but it was getting late. With my brother’s GPS we found a hotel just 2 miles away. The rates were ridiculous. Our stay in CA for 3 nights was less than this one night. Anyway, we stayed there, walked to IHOP for dinner then went swimming. It was pretty chilly again, so I just dipped my feet in the hot tub while the boys swam. I didn’t get all the way in because I was holding Kyla.

Every night after swimming we put the kids in the tub to warm them up.

They had fun!

I didn’t get any picture of Kyla in the pool with her swimsuit, but I did get some of her before we left our hotel room. So here they are:

New swimsuit (2) I love this girl! We had so much fun picking out her swimsuit. So many cute options. Due to her complexion we decided the T-shirt style was the way to go. Hopefully in the summer it’ll help her from burning too much.

Saturday morning we got up at 4 a.m. to head back. It’s just so much easier to travel while the kids sleep. Brad was a trooper and drove this time. There’s no way I would have made it. Obviously by the time we got home (around 10 a.m.) he was exhausted.

Thank you, Brad, for a wonderful, spontaneous trip!

What a fun trip! I cannot believe how big your kiddos are. Love Kyla's swimsuit!
