Chaos and pianos

I just wanted to post really quick and let you all know why I haven’t continued my updating. Actually I had a really long post written up but I did it in blogger and lost it. So you get the super condensed version of the condensed version.

Basically, a piano fell on Kaden on June 17th. It broke his right femur and left wrist. He’s in a spica cast for his leg for 6 weeks (four and a half more weeks to go!). His forearm is in a cast for 3 weeks (two and a half more to go!).

I’ll post some pictures when I get them off my phone and camera. Life has been so chaotic I really haven’t had the time. I have to say that we have been extremely blessed. We can definitely see the hand of the Lord in this trial. If the piano would have fallen differently or hit him differently, he could have been paralyzed, had internal bleeding, or honestly he could have been killed. We have received so much love and support too. Our ward brought us meals for a week. My family has helped so much with our other children. Brad’s family sent a fantastic care package that has kept Kaden well entertained. He’s received gifts and lots and lots of prayers. Thanks to everyone for their love and support. We are grateful for all of it.

Oh my gosh! I'm sorry to hear that. Poor Kaden! My little sister broke her femur when she was five and ended up being in a hip spica cast too. It was a lot of work for my mom. I'm glad you are getting lots of help and support. I wish I lived closer so I could help out. We'll keep your family in our prayers!
