Kaden's Birthday

Kaden just turned 3 on Tuesday the 3rd. I can't believe how much he has grown. Three years ago he was a meager 3 lbs 9 oz, 15 inches long. Kaden picked this picture to post. I think it's adorable...

In this you can see his feeding tube and the leads on his chest to monitor his heart rate and everything.

I took Kaden and Aaron to the doctor yesterday and Kaden now weighs 28.8 lbs and is 37 1/4 inches tall. He's over 3 feet! Yay for that. So, it's been a long 3 years, a lot has happened. At the same time it has all gone by so fast, too fast. Here are a couple of pictures from his birthday.

I love Aaron in the background. He spent most of the morning lying on those pillows playing. It was pretty funny to watch him.

Brad's diabetic dilemma... is it really worth a shot? Apparently. He did eat it.

This boy absolutely loves cake and ice cream. He ate all of his piece and then some!

Check out this awesome cake! I should totally go pro! Seriously though, it turned out better than I thought it would.

Well, he got lots of cool toys that he is super excited about. He was also very excited about the new clothes he got. That surprised me. Brad was home early in the afternoon, which was very nice. All in all it was a great day.

Aaron's stats from the doctor: He now weighs an official 21 lbs and 28 3/4 inches long. Please note that he is about 8 pounds lighter than Kaden and only around 9 inches shorter. And they are 2 years apart... I think Aaron is going to be bigger... Plus, for Aaron's head circumference he was in the 90-95th percentile. Fat head! j/k. He is looks quite proportional, his head is just oblong...

On a different note, I just have to say that I don't understand how babies survive to live to adulthood when they have older siblings. Aaron just fell down the stairs, and he was only 2 or 3 from the top. Come to find out, Kaden was trying to help him... Can I retire yet?
