Memorial Day

I know I'm pretty slow. I wanted to post this on Memorial Day, but I never got to it. Better late than never I guess. This post is in memory of my brother, Will. If you're wondering, no he wasn't exactly my brother. We were second cousins, but he lived with us for years. You can ask any of my siblings, he was a brother. Just like his sisters are my sisters. Will was killed in Iraq nearly 2 years ago.

This next picture is of the tree we planted almost 2 years ago for his memorial service here in Utah. I know it's not the best picture, but it's here for comparison purposes. We each took turns shoveling dirt, and some members of Hill Air Force Base were there also. You can see them in the background.

This is his memorial stone we placed by the tree. The flowers are compliments of Keldon and Shelley, thank you guys!

In my opinion the tree has grown a lot in 2 years. It's located in the Highland cemetary, on the east side.

I just want to say thank you to everyone serving this country. My eyes still fill up with tears when I see our flag and think of all those who have sacrificed for our freedoms. God bless America, and our service men and women.
